The Telluride Mushroom Festival in Telluride, Colorado (where else?) will be held from August 26-29, 2010. This, dubbed the 30th Annual Celebration of All Things Fungal & Entheogenic, features guest speakers Paul Stamets, Gary Lincoff and Daniel Winkler, among others.
From the Festival website:
A four-day intensive with workshops, slide-shows, films and lectures in Colorado’s summer festival mecca with daily forays into the surrounding mushroom fields of the San Juan Mountains for hunting and gathering. Saturday’s late afternoon parade down Telluride’s Mushroom Parade down main street is the apogee of this 30th annual event.
According to a post at the Yahoo Group Rocky Mountain Fungi, the early bird registration for the conference has been extended. The source of the post was apparently a Facebook page for the Telluride festival, but the provided link led to some generic ticket sale page. Anyway the gist of the post was:
Due to some confusion on our website and at the Telluride Ticket site, we’ve decided to extend the cheaper $125 ticket price from July 1 to July 12th. After that the full event ticket goes up to $150.
But maybe the confusion isn’t quite straightened out yet, because the Telluride Mushroom Festival website states that early bird registration runs through July 15th. Either way, it sounds like a good deal.
